VILLAGE HALL PROJECT POPLAR PARK
With the sale of the existing village hall on Gt Coates Road now completed we are pleased to confirm that we have realised sufficient funds to be able to move ahead with the refurbishment and extension of the pavilion on Poplar Park to provide a new facility in this more central and accessible location.
We have agreed a leaseback on the existing hall so that all hirings, lettings etc will continue uninterrupted whilst the building works are undertaken at Poplar Park. We will only vacate the Gt Coates Rd site once the new build is complete.
It will be July/August before our contractor, a company with close ties to the village, can get on site. The build will take 3-4 months and so we expect to move across to the new facility by the years end
